Andrea Marks Carneiro is a freelance writer and editor. She has contributed to national and regional media including WE! Television, JuliB.com, Daily Candy, Petitefashionista.com and Miami Modern Luxury. JCBC was inspired by her close-knit group of friends, all of whom came to the sudden realization that though they love to celebrate, they were ill-prepared to host Jewish holiday celebrations. Armed with her mom’s family recipes and stacks of research, she set out to create the ultimate starter guide for aspiring hosts and hostesses. She is currently honing her culinary skills by practicing on her husband, daughters and (sometimes) two lucky rescue dogs.
Roz Marks is the go-to gal for all things culinary among her friends and her daughter’s friends. A former elementary school teacher, Roz parlayed her people skills and talent for marketing into a successful twenty-year real estate career. Roz comes from a long line of style-savvy Jewish cooks and spent years learning the traditions of old-world cooking and baking, observing and helping her mother and grandmother, both of whom emigrated from Russia in the early 1900s. She resides in Miami, Florida, with her husband and three rescue dogs.
